Human Resource - Professional Association of Greater Emporia (HR-PAGE) is proud to provide guidance, education, and camaraderie to those within our profession and our area.   The Emporia area features a wide range of employers from the manufacturing community, business community, community services, and the educational sectors.  We are proud that our organization is a valuable association for the Human Resources Professionals in the Emporia area.

Letter From Our President:

It is already 2008 and exciting things are in store this year for HR-PAGE, the Emporia chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).  The new Board of Directors has officially been appointed and are busy planning professional programs and meeting with Kansas SHRM members to share resources and continue to connect with state and national HR issues.   We encourage HR-PAGE members to let the Board and me know of topics that interest you and specific programs you believe would benefit the chapter this year.

If you are just considering joining HR-PAGE, thanks for your interest in this SHRM chapter!  HR-PAGE meets on the second Wednesday of every month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Emporia State University Memorial Union.  I encourage you to attend a meeting and learn about the benefits of membership such as:

  • Key professional networking opportunities with colleagues and other human resource professionals

  • Excellent speakers on a variety of current topics relevant to human resource professionals and

  • Updates on state and national human resource issues and opportunities for advocacy

  • Opportunities for committee involvement in the core leadership areas

I’m excited about 2008 with HR-PAGE.  We have a great list of speakers, topics, and programs designed to provide strong professional development to its members.  I look forward to working with you this year!

Sincerely,

June Coleman-Hull

2008 HR-PAGE President
